Displaced Threshold Markings

Features

These markings are manufactured in accordance with FAA AC 150/5370-2E which allows for Temporary Runway Threshold Displacement during runway construction when activities are outside of the safety area and more than 200 feet beyond the end of the runway. For improved runway safety, the optional omnidirectional red-green threshold/end light kit (direct ground or solar) is available. See diagram below.

Displaced Threshold Marking and Lighting Notes

1. The markings are to be located on top of the runway at the temporary threshold runway line during the displaced landing threshold
   
2. The markings are to be of a permanent type, constructed of vinyl; durable material as manufactured by Neubert Aero Corp. or similar approved equal
   
3. Temporary threshold lights will be F18 omnidirectional medium intensity transformer lights, or approved equal, with red-green lens. Electrical power supplied from existing runway edge circuit and the omnidirectional lens will be positioned with the green section positioned to the approach end of the runway
   
4. Temporary threshold marking and lighting package will become the property of the Airport upon completion of the project
