NAC F1 Air Racing Team ready for Reno
In celebration of NAC’s first ten successful years, business owner, pilot, and former airport executive, Tim Neubert, has established the “NAC Formula One Air Racing Team”. The team will compete in September at the 45th National Championship Air Races in Reno, Nevada. In a tradition of professionalism, precision and most importantly, safety, air racing is truly a unique sport– a venture ideally suited for NAC to celebrate ten wonderful years!
The NAC Formula One racing aircraft, “Invictus” (Latin for “unconquered”), a modified Cassutt IIIM, will be fielded. The competitive arena of Formula One air racing mirrors the thriving spirit of NAC. This level of racing represents the grass-roots entrepreneurs of the sport, pressing the plane, its pilot, and the race team to the edge. With aircraft flying in close proximity to one another on a 3.11– mile course, about 20 feet off the desert floor at speeds of 250 mph, it’s a captivating and breathtaking event.
