The NAC Dynamic Friction Decelerometer (DFD), utilizes the latest technology in electronic motion signal processing to give the most accurate and repeatable deceleration data for runway surface braking action reporting. DFD is a small and rugged three (3) axis motion recorder mounted within your airfield vehicle
An interface computer powers the DFD via its USB port allowing for easy vehicle transfer, if needed. The computer system uses touch screen technology and customer NAC integrated software to provide dependable braking action results for immediate, “no guessing” reporting.

The DFD’s intuitive software instructs the operator during every stage of the test and provides easy to read output data in approved format generating dependable results. Using three (3) axis monitoring, the software determines the amount of yaw angle during the test and will invalidate a braking test value automatically if preset tolerances are exceeded.
